The African Chamber of Commerce is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to the economic development of African immigrants in Minnesota. Our mission is to accelerate the development of African immigrant businesses, entrepreneurs, and families so that they may thrive within American economic and social systems. The ACC accomplishes it mission by providing tools, resources, and training that support a better understanding of American systems and the development of knowledge and skills that accelerate economic success. Previously known as Immigrant Credit Education and Financial Counseling Agency, the organization was restructured in 2007 to a dynamic new nonprofit service model that combines the strengths of a chamber of commerce with direct community services.
We are looking forward to the months ahead as we roll out enhanced services and a new advocacy program, create exciting new partnerships, and provide membership and sponsorship opportunities. We are also very excited to share the results of our strategic planning process with the community early this spring. In addition, the ACC will participate in the upcoming 4th Annual Multicultural Marketing conference on March 13th at the River Center in St. Paul where we will play a lead role in defining and disseminating vital information on African immigrant communities as a powerful consumer segment. Many opportunities exist to become involved in our work as a volunteer, sponsor, member, partner, or donor. So please, join us in our efforts to elevate the economic success African immigrant communities!
